About Our SAT Prep Course
Our eight-session course, which offers the opportunity to take a practice test and have your work reviewed by the instructor, focuses on the critical reading and writing sections of the SAT. The class is led by longtime area teaches Kathy Preble, who has more than two decades of experience – most recently at Jesuit High School.
Our class is composed of 90-minute online sessions and focuses on:
- Evidence-based reading – You will learn how to understand the author better, analyze persuasive techniques, and draw conclusions related to paired passages.
- Critical reading – Learn to develop your strategies while practicing the different types of questions you will see on the SAT.
- Writing essentials – We will help you create a high-scoring essay while avoiding common mistakes.
We also offer weekly in-person skill spotlight sessions. We guide students through essential reading and writing SAT skills to address specific areas of improvement.
